The Survey Has Closed

Thank you to everyone who participated in the "Latvian Families Across Generations" survey.

Data collection for the survey has now been completed. Thanks to the participation of more than 7,000 randomly selected residents of Latvia, the study has gathered valuable information on family life, relationships, employment, life courses, and demographic processes in Latvia.

The research team is currently validating, processing, and analysing the data. The first research findings will be published soon and will be available in the "Results" section of this website. These findings will contribute to a better understanding of social and demographic developments in Latvia and will provide an important basis for future scientific research and evidence-informed policymaking.

Who conducted the survey?

The survey was conducted by the University of Latvia in collaboration with the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI), which coordinates the Generations and Gender Survey. This ensures that surveys in different countries are designed in a unified format and are comparable across countries.
